Olhava's music has become deeply familiar and personal to me. Their robust, emotion-driven walls of sound recreate the landscapes that inspired the music to begin with. However, "Reborn" is a facet of Olhava that is no longer ethereal and reverent. It is cynical, dismayed by humanity's crimes against the very world it calls home. The album concludes with the assurance that nature will persevere in the end, but whether or not it perseveres in the absence of humanity is for the listener to decide.
